“Birding Game Night” at the Ridge
After the last year-plus of challenges, let’s have some FUN! This program is designed for birders of all experience levels. We’ll have interactive games with lots of audience participation. And like any good Hollywood game show, we’ll also have a really cheesy game show host, and parting gifts for everyone!
The program tonight will be about having fun with birding knowledge and trivia. We’ll also look at some highlights (and not-so-high) from the past couple years at Sandy Ridge thru a short photo show.
About Tim Fairweather
I’ve been a naturalist with LCMP for 32 years now. Started as a seasonal working with summer camps back in 1989, and then full-time at French Creek Nature Center for almost 10 years. Appointed as the Park Manager and Senior Naturalist at Sandy Ridge Reservation before it opened in October of 1999.
The local birding community is amazing! As with so many things the past couple years, leading bird walks and other hikes presented challenges such as requiring masks, pre-registration, and limited numbers. But people really responded, filling up the spots and rewarded with great birding. I even had three sold-out trips to Magee Marsh where participants met me out there.
And at my annual Big Sit, they helped me raise over $2,000.00 for Second Harvest Food Bank.
